Applicants must be a junior or senior enrolled at an ICW member institution at the time of the award and be involved with community service. A GPA of 3.25 is required and applicants must be majoring in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, a health care field or be preparing to teach in a STEM field.

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who are enrolled or plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited institution. One parent must be a regular full-time or permanent part-time UPS employee who has resided in Florida for at least twelve months. They must have been employed at UPS at least one year and must be employed there when the awards are announced. Children of UPS retirees and deceased UPS workers are also eligible. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
