Bobby Griffith Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be high school graduate who is a resident of Contra Costa County in California and is planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school for the first time. Selection based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership skills, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.

 

Community College Transfer Student Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of north or central California (may study elsewhere) who has graduated or is expected to graduate from a community college. Must be planning to attend a four-year college or university for the first time. Selection based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership skills, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.

 

Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited ADN or BSN RN program in California and in good academic standing. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Selection based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership skills, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.

 

Medical Student Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled or committed to enroll in an accredited medical school in California OR be a California resident attending medical school elsewhere in the United States. Selection based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership skills, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.

 

American Council of the Blind Scholarship

Applicant must be a legally blind student who is planning to attend a university or college. Autobiographical sketch, certification of legal blindness, transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and proof of acceptance from a post-secondary school required.

Must be actively involved in serving individuals who have intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Submission letter signed by the president of the local Chapter's Board of Directors and letter of recommendation from previous work or volunteer work required.

 

Jonathan Weingold Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time employee of a NYSARC, Inc. Chapter who wishes to further their education at a college or university in the state of New York. Letter of recommendation signed by the president of the Chapter's Board of Directors required.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is entering their sophomore, junior, senior, or 5th-year senior year in pursuit of an undergraduate degree at any accredited college or university. Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry as well as leadership and participation in extracurricular activities.
