Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Aliso Niguel High school who is active in athletics OR an active participant of a U.S. Southern Pacific Association Diving Team. Must be planning to enroll full-time at an accredited college, university, or trade school. Minimum 2.0 GPA, essay, current transcript, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

William K. Schubert Minority Nursing Scholarship

Award: $2,750, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a member of one of the underrepresented groups in the registered nurse profession such as a male nurse or nursing students who are American Indian, Alaskan Native, Black or African American, Hawaiian Native or other Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino, and/or Asian. Must be enrolled or accepted into a professional RN program at an accredited school of nursing and seeking initial licensure in the state of Ohio. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Ed Johnson Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a male senior who is a member of a high school varsity basketball team in the state of Nebraska. Excellence in leadership, sportsmanship, loyalty, and citizenship must be demonstrated. Letters of recommendations from counselors, teachers, administrators, etc required.

 

Career Journalism Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, or Citrus counties in West Central Florida who is pursuing a media/journalism career. Essay, letter, website OR portfolio, and three letters of recommendation required.

Applicant must be an Orange County high school senior from a public high school in the Santa Ana Unified School District, Anaheim Union High School, Placentia-Yorba Linda School District, or the Fullerton Joint Union High School District who plans to attend a four year accredited college and has completed 300 or more community service hours. Five awards giving based on these five categories: visual arts, performing arts, athletics, community service, and financial need. Minimum 3.75 GPA, two letters of recommendation, and current transcript required.

Applicant must be a high school senior from San Clemente High School in California who is planning to study math, science, or art at an accredited four-year college or university.

 

Michael A. Hunter Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or college student who is a Leukemia/Lymphoma patient. Financial need must be demonstrated. Doctor's note, full-time status, two letters of recommendation, current transcript, and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Orange County Centennial Academic Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be an Orange County graduating high school senior who is a resident of Orange County, CA and plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university. Leadership skills and community service involvement must be demonstrated. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum 2100 SAT score or 31 ACT score required.

 

Orange County Centennial Arts Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 16

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is a resident of Orange County, California and plans to enroll full-time at an accredited college or university majoring in the arts. Leadership skills and community service involvement must be demonstrated. Essay, current transcript, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

Orange County Centennial Certification Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who resides in Orange County, California and plans to enter the work force after completing a two-year vocational program. Leadership skills and community service involvement must be demonstrated. Essay and two letters of recommendation required.

Applicant must be a member of NEWWA accepted or attending an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in Civil engineering at a college or university. Resume, official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a one-page statement of educational plans required.

 

The Francis X. Crowley Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of NEWWA who is studying Civil engineering, environmental engineering, or business management at a four-year college. Resume, official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a one-page statement of educational plans required.

 

Undergraduate Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native. Must be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising, anthropology, communications, English, graphic design, or sociology. Minimum 2.75 GPA, reference letter, resume, and unofficial transcript OR acceptance letter required.

 

Graduate Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native. Must be a full-time graduate student who has a minimum of two academic semesters or one year left to complete master's degree majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising, anthropology, communications, English, graphic design, or sociology.
