Graduate Scholarship

Award: $6,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a citizen of an Asian country who is a full-time graduate student currently enrolled at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada and hold a valid student ID card. Selection based upon academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in cross-cultural activities, personal statement, and letter of reference completed by a professor or supervisor. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $4,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student currently enrolled at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada and hold a valid student ID card. Selection based upon academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in cross-cultural activities, personal statement, and letter of reference completed by a professor or supervisor. Minimum 2.7 GPA required.

 

Dream Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: September 12

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior planning to pursue an undergraduate degree at a college/university. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Commitment to school and community activities must be demonstrated.

 

Jan Egerton and Don Smitley Mesothelioma Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: October 7

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who is at least 18 years old and is currently enrolled in a United States college/university. Essay between 750 and 1,500 words on the topic of mesothelioma required.

 

Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a two or four year institution in the U.S with at least one parent of hispanic descent. Financial need must be demonstrated. Cover page, essay between 500 and 750 words, transcript, letter of reference, resume, and picture required.

 

Dan L. Meisinger, Sr. Memorial Learn to Fly Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: November 28

Applicant must be a college student currently enrolled in an aviation program with a "B" average or higher. Preference given to residents of Kansas, Missouri, or Illinois.

 

Ashley Soule Conroy Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 10; July 10

Applicant must be enrolled as an undergraduate student in the U.S. who has completed at least one year of college or 30 hours and is planning to participate in a full-time study abroad program for at least one semester. Summer sessions are not eligible. Minimum 3.0 GPA, transcript, resume, and essay between 500 and 800 words required. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Tutor the People Essay Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a high school senior or currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a United States accredited post-secondary institution in good standing. Minimum 3.0 GPA and short essay on the following topic are required: Explain how you have helped a member of your community achieve a personal or academic goal.

 

General Scholarship for Higher Learning

Award: $1,500, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be enrolled in a two-year, four-year, or graduate program. Four short, open-ended questions are required to be submitted (found on sponsor's application).

 

Look Twice, Save A Life Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be currently attending or planning to attend college or some form of higher education. Applicant must create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on looking twice for motorcycle safety (video, artwork, essay, or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving).

 

College Scholarship Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 31

Applicant must be a high school senior, college, or graduate student. Essay on the following question required: What measures could schools or universities implement to improve campus safety?

 

Thomson Reuters Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited paralegal education program. Letter of recommendation, official transcript, and paper under four pages required.

 

Race Entry Student Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled at a college or university in the United States. A short essay sharing your 5K, 10K, half marathon, or marathon race story is required.

 

PACE Scholarship

Applicant must be a National Federation of Paralegal Associations member who is eligible to take the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam (PACE). Questionnaire and essay under four pages on this topic required: Discuss whether paralegal credentialing exams such as PACE have a role in paralegal regulation, and if so, how?

 

PCCE Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations who is eligible to take the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam (PCCE). Questionnaire and essay under four pages required on this topic: Why are you seeking a professional credential? How will you use the CRP credential to promote or advance your career?

 

L.I.F.E. Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and be working towards a degree with at least six credits a semester at an accredited college/university in the U.S. Minimum 3.0 GPA, involvement in at least one extracurricular activity, letter from physician, copy of transcript, letter of recommendation, and essay under 500 words required.

 

IP Video Contest

Award: $5,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must submit an original video regarding Intellectual Property such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Video must be less than 90 seconds.

 

Frank J. Richter Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student at an accredited college/university. Preference given to transportation field majors. Minimum 2.75 GPA, official transcript, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

Addie B. Morris Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time sophomore, junior, senior undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled at an accredited college/university in the U.S. or Canada. Minimum 2.75 GPA, official transcript, two letters of recommendation, and copy of FAFSA required.

 

HORIZONS Scholarship

Applicant must be a woman who is a U.S. citizen currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in national security or defense. Financial need must be demonstrated. Living With Dyslexia Scholarship

Sharps Compliance Scholarship Essay Contest

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who resides in Texas and plans to be a full-time student at an accredited college/university. Financial need must be demonstrated. Must be a high school graduate from one of the following cities: Abilene, Amarillo, Arlington, Austin, Beaumont, Brownsville, Carrollton, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Fort Worth, Frisco, Garland, Grand Prairie, Houston, Irving, Killeen, Laredo, Lubbock, McAllen, McKinney, Mesquite, Midland, Pasadena, Plano, San Antonio,Waco and Wichita Falls.

 

Migrant Farmworker Baccalaureate Scholarship

Applicant must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior who has a history of movement for agricultural employment. Scholastic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated. Three letters of recommendation, personal essay, college transcript, and a copy of most recent Migrant Education Certificate of Eligibility required.

 

Vectorworks Design Scholarship

Applicant must be pursuing a design-oriented degree full-time at an accredited college/university. Must create own design with software of choice.

 

George Geng On Lee Minorities in Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must be a minority high school senior or undergraduate student who resides in California and is from a low-income household. Essay under 1,000 words, introduction letter, resume, official transcript, and letter of recommendation required.

 

Jerry Junkins Construction Management Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who has graduated high school or has a GED and is enrolled full-time in an approved associates degree program in Construction Management at one of the seven Dallas County Community Colleges. Minimum 2.0 GPA, one-page essay, two letters of recommendation, and copy of most recent transcripts required.

 

Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship

Applicant must be a legal U.S. resident over 16 years old who is enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, bio-chemistry, or related life science field.
