Applicant must be a Mississippi resident seeking a doctoral degree in a STEM or related field. Participant may fulfill the service obligation by teaching full-time at the collegiate level for one year for each year of money received.

 

Nursing Education Loan/Scholarship - M.S.N. or Ph.D

Applicant must be a student seeking a masters or doctorate degree in nursing at a Mississippi college or university. Applicant may fulfill the service obligation by working as a professional nurse educator in Mississippi for one year for each year of money received.

 

Nursing Education Teacher Stipend

Applicant must be a Mississippi resident who is a licensed registered nurse, seeking a masters or doctoral degree at a Mississippi college or university. Participant must agree to teach in an accredited Mississippi school of nursing and have received the Nursing Education Loan/Scholarship for Masters or Doctorates.

 

State Dental/Medical Education Loan/Scholarship

Applicant must be a medical or dental student who can agree to work in family medicine or general dentistry in Mississippi for one year for each year of the money received. Service must be performed in an approved critical shortage location.

 

SREB Regional Contract Program

Applicant must be a Mississippi student who is seeking an optometry degree at an approved out-of-state school. Participant may fulfill the service obligation by working as an optometrist in Mississippi for one year for year year of money received.

 

Graduate and Professional Degree Loan/Scholarship

Applicant must be a Mississippi resident who is pursing a graduate or professional degree in chiropractic medicine, orthotics/prosthetics, or podiatric medicine at an approved out-of-state institution. Participant may fulfill the service obligation by working in the appropriate field in Mississippi for one year for each year of money received.

 

Veterinary Medicine Minority Loan/Scholarship

Applicant must be a minority student who is seeking a veterinary medicine degree. Participant must fulfill the loan-to-scholarship service obligation by working for one year for each year of the money received.

 

Summer Development Grant Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 31

Award looks to assist students who do not meet the criteria for admission to one of the state's public universities. Award will assist with financial need pay for the Summer Development Program during the summer preceding the freshman year of college.

Applicant must be a Mississippi student with financial need who is attending a Mississippi public college or university. Minimum 2.0 GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 20, and demonstrated leadership ability are required.

 

Critical Needs Teacher Loan/Scholarship

Applicant must be a junior or senior student in a Mississippi college or university in a program of study that will lead to a Class "A" educator's license or alternate route educator's license. Recipient may fulfill loan-to-scholarship service by working as a full-time teacher in a Mississippi public school in a critical shortage area.

 

Higher Education Legislative Plan for Needy Students (HELP)

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student with demonstrated financial need who is pursuing a first certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree. Applicant must first receive HELP as a freshman or sophomore. Minimum 2.5 GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 20, and completion of specific high school core curriculum required.

 

Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant

Applicant must be a Mississippi resident pursuing their first certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree at an approved Mississippi college or university.

 

Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant

Health Care Professions Loan/Scholarship

Applicant must be a student pursuing their first bachelor's degree in speech pathology or psychology or a first master's degree in occupational or physical therapy. Recipient may fulfill the service obligation by working in a Mississippi state health institution.

Applicant must be a junior or senior student seeking a bachelor's degree in nursing at a Mississippi college or university. Participants may fulfill the loan-to-scholarship service obligation by working as a nurse for one year for each year of loan received.

 

College of Fine Arts Performance Award

Award is determined by artistic merit of the applicant as determined by portfolio and audition.

 

National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP)

Award: $20,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a National Hispanic Recognition Program finalist with exceptionally strong academic records.

 

Marie Curie Scholars Program

Award: $18,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a recent high school graduate who plans to major in math, biology, engineering, or chemistry. Minimum 3.5 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1020 (composite ACT score of 22) required.

 

Caitlin Brondolo Golf Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a high school senior accepted to an accredited college or university in the United States with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicant must have played a minimum of two years on a high school golf team and be accepted an preparing to play on a collegiate golf team. Official high school transcript, autobiographical essay (including background, career objectives, describing how golf has been an integral part of your life, and academic and professional goals), and three letters of recommendation from high school coach, PGA professional, junior golf program coordinator, high school teacher, counselor, principle, or local community representative or business leader are required to be submitted.

 

Transfer Academic Merit Award

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident with a minimum cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 from all colleges attended.

WyzAnt Scholarship

Applicant must be a student who is planning to be enrolled in a four-year college between August 2016 and November 2018. A 300-word essay is required. Award minimum granted to third place recipient; award average granted to second place recipient; award maximum granted to first place recipient. Finalists will be determined by popular vote.

 

Arkansas Higher Education Opportunity Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is an Arkansas resident for at least 12 months prior to application for the grant. Applicant must be enrolled in an approved institution of higher education and enrolled in a program of study that leads towards a bachelor's degree. FAFSA and certification that applicant is drug-free are required.

 

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $26,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an incoming full-time undergraduate, transfer, or international student.

 

Sibling Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have more than one member of their immediate household enrolled at the college full-time. Award does not apply for married children or students considered independent for financial aid services. The grant is set up with a tiered scale providing more money relative to the number of siblings at Bryan. Two siblings enrolled concurrently receive $500 each; three or more siblings enrolled concurrently receive $1,000 each. If a sibling graduates or leaves the school at any time, the amount of aid will be adjusted accordingly.

 

Christian Worker Grant

Applicant must have a parent who is a full-time worker at a Christian non-profit organization and whose income is the major source of support for the family. Letter from organization verifying employment is required to be submitted.

 

AWANA Grant

Applicant must have received the AWANA Citation Award.

 

Alumni Grant

Applicant must have a parent or grandparent who graduated from the college.

 

Rhea County Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Rhea County September 1 of their senior year of high school. Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 980 (composite ACT score of 21) required.

 

Transfer Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: May 1

Awarded to students transferring to the traditional undergraduate program with post high-school transfer credits.

 

ISPE Foundation Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: May 1

Applicant and parents/legal guardians must be residents of Indiana and be attending an Indiana college or university or commuting daily to a school outside of Indiana. Applicant must have accrued the minimum of one-half the credits or credit hours required for an undergraduate ABET accredited engineering degree. Applicant may not be the legal dependent of any member of the Committee or Chapter Officers or Committeemen processing the applications.
