Applicant must be a full-time student who is able to demonstrate significant academic achievement above and beyond the average academic profile of a student admitted in the university's freshman class. Minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1350 (composite ACT score of 31) required in order to receive consideration.

Applicant must be a high school senior who is looking to apply to the University of Miami and who took the SAT Reasoning or ACT exam no later than November of their high school senior year. Minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1250 (composite ACT score of 28) are required. Recommendation letter, official high school transcript, and advisor/counselor report must be submitted with application.

 

Chinese American Citizens Alliance - Greater Los Angeles Area Scholarships

Award: $500, Deadline: mid-April

Applicant must be Chinese-American and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Selection is based upon academic achievement, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, essay, financial need, and interview. There are approximately 15 awards with this organization; all require the same application and eligibility requirements.

Graduate Assistance Benefit

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduate student who has been selected to work as a Graduate Assistant. In exchange for up to 10 hour per week of work, students are awarded a $4,000 per year scholarship and a $3,000 year stipend. Financial need is required.

 

Honor Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

Applicant must be an entering full-time student who is deemed outstanding based on the admissions application.

 

Martin Janowitz Scholarship

Publications Subvention Grant

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1; November 1

Applicant must be writing a book-length publication in the field of classical archaeology. Particularly welcome are works of new authors, or the publication of already excavated or surveyed materials that have not yet been published. Nominations for this grant should be submitted by eligible non-profit publishers (such as university or museum presses).

 

AIA/DAI Fellowship for Study in Berlin

Award: $2,990, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a member of the AIA working in a North American institution. Award supports research at the DAI in Berlin, Germany.

 

DAI/AIA Fellowship for Study in the United States

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a member of the German Archaeological Institute (DAI). Fellowship supports a two to three month stay in the spring at the University of Cincinnati, the Cotsen Institute at UCLA, or the Joukowsky Institute at Brown University.

 

Honors Distinction Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who was admitted to the university and Honors College by February 15. Minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1300 (composite ACT score of 30) required.

 

Associate Degree Nursing Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a licensed vocational nurse graduate who is practicing direct patient care. Program looks to increase the number of registered nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California. Selection is based upon financial need, career objectives within the next five to 10 years, community involvement, community background, and academic performance.

 

Health Professions Education Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP)

Applicant be a practicing dentist, dental hygienist, nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, or physician assistant.

Donor Relations Internship
