Applicant must be an incoming freshman student. Minimum 3.8 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1250 (or comparable composite ACT score) required. Applicants will be automatically considered for award upon admission.

 

Ebell of Los Angeles Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be U.S. citizen, a resident of Los Angeles County, and a registered voter (if 18 years of age or older) who is attending an approved college or university in Los Angeles County for at least 12 units per semester and has a minimum 3.25 GPA. Selection is based upon moral character, scholarship, financial need, citizenship, and leadership.

 

Edelstein International Fellowship

Award: $38,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have a Ph.D. in history, history of science/technology, or a related field and must submit curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation, financial statement, and research proposal. Part of research period is spent in Jerusalem at the Edelstein Ctr for History and Philosophy of Science, Medicine, and Technology.

Societe de Chimie Industrielle (American Section) Fellowship

Award is for research on the heritage of the chemical sciences or chemical process industries, for the stimulation of public understanding of the chemical industries. Applicant must submit curriculum vitae, two letters of recommendation, and research proposal. Preference is given to writers, journalists, educators, and historians of science, technology, and business.

UHS Hospitals Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be a minority or an immigrant with U.S. citizenship, reside in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, or Tioga County, N.Y., or in Susquehanna County, Penn., have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and be attending or plan to attend the Decker Sch of Nursing full time.
