Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Wicomico County public high school.

 

Worcester County Teachers Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Worcester County public high school who will pursue teacher certification and agree to apply for a position in the Worcester County Public Schools in a critical shortage subject area.

Academic Council Scholarship

Applicant must be an out-of-state student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Academic Achievement Scholarship

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1150 (composite ACT score of 25).

Applicant must be an incoming freshman at Stevenson University who has shown commitment to academic excellence, community service, leadership in school-based activities, and/or athletics. High school transcript, SAT or ACT score reports, essay, and letter of recommendation required. Interview and resume are optional.

 

Last Dollar Grant

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicants must be new graduates of Baltimore City public high schools, have family income of no more than $75,000 per year and contribute at least 15 percent of their college costs through self-help. Students must attend Bowie State University, Coppin State University, Frostburg State University, Morgan State University, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Towson University, University of Maryland College Park, University of Maryland Eastern Shore or Villa Julie College. Applicants must also attend the Transition to College Workshop and the Annual Scholars' Luncheon and other program events scheduled throughout the year. The Student Aid Report, college acceptance letters, financial aid award letter and transcript are required. The grant is given to students whose Expected Family Contribution and financial aid package are less than the cost to attend college. The award is renewable up to five years.

 

Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholarships

Applicants must be high school seniors or college freshmen or sophomores who are residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 for high school seniors or 2.75 for college students. Selection is based on academic excellence, community involvement, leadership skills, awards and honors and financial need.

 

Angie M. Houtz Memorial Fund Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicants must attend or be accepted to attend a public college in Maryland full-time. They must have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher and have participated in at least 200 hours of community service. They cannot be related to a member of the scholarship fund's board of directors.

 

Mary Graham Lasley Scholarship Competition

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate music students who are Virginia, Maryland or Washington, DC residents or students at colleges, universities or conservatories in Virginia, Maryland or Washington, DC. Students must be 25 years of age or younger. Prior first place winners may not reenter.

Applicants must be working toward a degree in one of the following fields: animal science, animal nutrition, dairy science, poultry science, equine/equestrian science, agriculture, agricultural science, agricultural business management, economics, finance or marketing and sales. Mahindra USA Women in Ag Scholarship

NACE Eastern Area Scholarship

Applicants must be a permanent resident of the United States and be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate in an accredited engineering or physical science degree program at a two or four-year college or university. Kids' Chance of Maryland Scholarships

Applicants must be children of parents who were permanently or catastrophically injured or killed in an employment-related accident. They must be Maryland residents 16 to 25 years of age, and the parent's death or injury must have caused a major decrease in the family's income.

 

Washington DC Metro Alumni Scholarship

Applicants must be from Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia or Delaware. Students must be current high school graduates accepted to AAMU or students currently attending AAMU and pursuing a degree.
