Applicant must be a current student (junior or senior) who is majoring in a STEM discipline (biology, chemistry, or mathematics), business field (business administration, accounting, marketing, management, international business, or management information systems), or secondary education teacher candidates majoring biology education or mathematics education. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Recipient must commit to a position as a RA (research assistant) or TA (teaching assistant) in the Department of Mathematics, Sciences & Technology, the Department of Education, or the Department of Business Administration.

Applicant must be an outstanding student in the field of corporate renewal, as well as be able to provide research that may offer new insight into the profession and expand the sponsor's university outreach. Applicant must be an author who has been enrolled in and attending an M.B.A. or equivalent business-related master's degree program at an accredited university at the same time the paper was written; law students and Ph.D. applicants are not eligible. Papers are judged in two categories: case study and theoretical/conceptual. First (maximum award amount) and second place prizes (minimum award amount) will be awarded in each category.
