Benjamin J. Keiser Memorial Coastal Engineering Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: May 15

Applicants must be in high school through graduate level studies, have at least a 3.2 GPA, be a U.S. citizen and be pursuing or plan on pursuing a degree in coastal engineering. Selection is based on goals, community service and involvement and academic excellence.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and be attending or planning to attend a two-year or four-year college or university or trade/vocational school within the United States. Applicants must also hold a passion for education and value the characteristics exemplified by Bruce Lee. Students may be interviewed by phone if chosen as final contenders. Mikkelson Foundation Student Scholarship Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 14

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors at a Colorado high school and must have plans to study engineering, mathematics or science at an accredited four-year postsecondary institution. They must be enrolled in college beginning in the fall of the application year, have an unweighted GPA of 3.7 or higher and have a composite ACT score of 28 or higher or a cumulative SAT score of 1200 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents. They must be Oregon or Siskiyou County, California residents who are high school graduates, GED recipients or community college students who will be transferring to an Oregon or California four-year college with junior standing during the fall of the application year. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or a GED score of 2650 or higher, have plans to earn a bachelor's degree at a non-profit Oregon or California institution and be enrolled as a full-time student no later than the fall of the application year. They must owe no educational grant refund money and must have no defaulted student loans. Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree previously are ineligible. AG Bell College Scholarship Program
