F&P Division Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who plans to attend an accredited four-year university in the fall with a major in engineering or science. Exemplary academic records and leadership potential must be demonstrated. Transcript, essay, letter of reference, and scholarship letter required to be submitted.

 

Understand and Measure Employee Engagement Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: January 31 (essay deadline); April 30 (survey completion deadline)

Applicant must be a current full-time high school senior or undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student who submits an essay on the various concepts around employee engagement (the level to which employees are committed to the organization, feel invested and valued in their jobs, and are dedicated to the success of the company). EngagedMetrics will choose two applicants who have gained the greatest insight surrounding the benefits and importance of employee engagement. The final two applicants will use the EngagedMetrics platform to design and deploy an employee engagement survey for a fictitious company. The applicant with the greatest understanding of how to measure employee engagement and the most innovated survey will receive the award.

 

Defensive Driving Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a high school senior or current college student. Application, short survey, and a two-minute-long or less video answering one of the prompts on the application required.

 

Amish Furniture Heritage Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a high school senior who plans to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college or university. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay required.

 

Bruce Lee Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 12

Applicant must be planning to attend or currently attending a two-year college, four-year university, or licensed trade/vocational school in the United States. Selection based upon involvement in extra-curricular activities/community service/work experience, future potential, and knowledge of Bruce Lee.

 

Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is at least 15 years old and studying at an accredited or nationally recognized dance school or institution in the U.S. Nominated students will be judged based on talent, technical skill, and dance expression.

 

Gene Kelly Legacy Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is at least 15 years old and studying at an accredited or nationally recognized dance school or institution in the U.S. Strong history of classical dance training, plus substantial training in at least one additional style of dance required. Selection based upon talent, technical skill, creativity, interdisciplinary dance expression, and potential as a choreographer.

 

John Lennon Scholarship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: February 7

Applicant must be a current student or alumnus/alumna of a U.S. college or university between the ages of 17 and 24. An original song with lyrics accompanied by whatever instrumentation is chosen by the applicant is required to be submitted. Both lyrics and music must be original and not based on any prior work.

 

Copyright Awareness Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be between the ages of 13 and 25 and be currently enrolled at an accredited secondary school or post-secondary institution of higher learning (college, university, or trade school). Applicant must creatively present their viewpoint in video format on The Importance of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law.

 

Laser Tattoo Removal Semiannual Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 30 and November 30

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who plans to enroll or is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university this fall with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A 200 to 400 word post on a website, blog, or online forum that expresses the applicant's opinion on the societal impact of laser tattoo removal is required to be submitted.

 

Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship Award

Award: $1,250, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a high school or current undergraduate or graduate student. Short essay addressing one of the following questions required: 1.) Why is it important to work to delete cyberbullying? or 2.) How has cyberbullying personally affected you?

 

Shine Bright Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be a high school senior or an undergraduate or graduate student this fall at an accredited U.S. college or university. A 500-word essay on one of the following questions is required: 1.) How can the Web give a company a competitive advantage? or 2.) How will you use your 'personal shine' to make a difference?

 

Maryknoll Essay Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 14

Applicant must be a high school student. Essay regarding specific prompt found on sponsor's site regarding Pope Francis, is required. Maximum award amount will be granted to the first place recipient; second and third place recipients will receive the average and minimum amounts, respectively.
