Applicant must be a resident of Kansas or Missouri who plans to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study towards a bachelor's degree or be a non-resident of either state who plans to enroll as a full-time student in a four-year bachelor's program at a Kansas or Missouri accredited university or college. Minimum 3.3 GPA and minimum SAT Reasoning score (including writing) of 1680 (or ACT score of 24) required Superscoring is allowed. Selection based upon demonstrated entrepreneurial success/accomplishments, academic record, extracurricular activity, and anticipated future potential.

Applicant must be African-American, Hispanic, Asian American, or American Indian who plans to major in a field relevant to the newspaper industry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or a communications degree program. Minimum 2.5 GPA and high school transcript required.

Applicant must be a member of the Order of the Arrow who is preparing for a professional Scouting career and will attend an accredited post-secondary institution.
