Applicants must be public, private or home school students in grades 4 through 12, be music students and write an essay on the given topic. Five scholarships are awarded to students in grades 4 through 8, and five are awarded to students in grades 9 through 12. Schools of winners will receive merchandise prizes.

Applicants must be U.S. legal residents who are of junior high school, high school or college age. They must submit a videotape of a solo performance in order to be considered for the live semifinals competition. Selection is based on the quality of performance during the semifinal and final rounds of live competition.

Applicants must be U.S. legal residents. They must be students in grades 4 through 12 and must be at least nine years old by the September 1 that precedes the contest deadline. They must submit a personal letter to an author about how that author's book or work has impacted them. Selection is based on letter originality, grammar and organization.

Applicants must be Jewish teens, U.S. residents and between 13 and 19 years old. Two references and an application form are required. Teens' projects can help either the Jewish community or the general community as long as they have not been remunerated for their services. Teens may be nominated by any community member who knows the importance of their project - except family members - or may also nominate themselves.

Applicants must win first place in a local marble tournament and then compete in the National Marbles Tournament held each summer in New Jersey. Students must be between 7 and 14 years old.

Applicants must create three- to five-minute short films that either raise awareness about current global issues affecting women or propose solutions to such challenges. Participants must be youth bowlers who have not graduated from high school. The program is open to youth bowlers of all ages including pre-school bumper leagues. The program rewards participation and not necessarily ability. Funds may be earned at the state and local level. Once you begin the program, participants must remain in a youth bowling program each year until graduation from high school. If the participant fails to participate in at least one youth league session for the year, the accumulated funds will be forfeited.
