Applicants must be students who are between the ages of 13 and 21. They must devise and complete an environmental conservation project then write an essay describing the experience. Selection is based on the quality of the project and essay.

 

Distinct Advantage Scholarship

Applicants must be any male student enrolled as a full-time student at a college/university with an active chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Membership in ATO fraternity is not required to apply. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Entrants must be current undergraduate or graduate students, or they must be nonfiction writers who 1) have never won first place in the contest; 2) have not had any featured articles published in the Oregon Quarterly in the past calendar year; 3) are not employees of the Oregon Quarterly or University of Oregon Advancement and 4) are not family members of Oregon Quarterly or University of Oregon Advancement employees.
