Applicant must be a current high school or college student under the age of 24 who is a resident of Texas with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A 500-word essay responding to the following is required: 'Bounce Energy considers itself to be more than just an electric company. Going beyond just competitive electricity rates, we also offer customer rewards, community charity support opportunities, and other convenient products and services. How do you consider yourself to be more than just a student?'

Applicant must be currently enrolled in high school or college and be planning to enroll or continue to attend a four-year college this coming fall. Applicant must complete a GoEnnounce Student Profile to apply by clicking 'Apply Online' above. Selection based upon profile completeness and the school related activity the applicant 'ennounces' each month on their Student Page.

 

AfterCollege Succurro Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31; June 30; September 30; December 31

Applicant must be currently enrolled in a program working toward a two- or four-year degree (including master's and doctorate degrees). Minimum 2.5 GPA and good standing in program required. Applicant must click the blue Apply button on the AfterCollege application page and complete their AfterCollege profile which will be the criteria (with specific emphasis on the personal statement) used to determine the recipient of the award.

 

Generation-Green Essay Contest Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 2

Applicant must either be an incoming, full-time college freshman or current college student with a minimum 2.5 GPA at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Short essay about applicant's green initiatives (500 words or less) required. Bonus awards will be granted to those who take a photo of pest birds in action. One applicant will win the essay contest scholarship and two will win the photo bonus award.

 

Shawn Carter Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is 25 years of age or younger, with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicant must fall into one of the following categories: high school senior; student who has received their GED diploma; undergraduate college student pursuing first undergraduate degree; or vocational school student. Recipient of award will be expected to 'give back' by conducting community service and serving as a mentor to younger, aspiring scholarship recipients.

 

Disguise Your External Hard Drive Scholarship Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a high school senior who has been accepted into a college, university, or trade school, or currently a student enrolled in one of those schools. Applicant must come up with a creative idea that will disguise a hard drive in order to prevent them from being stolen. Create the disguise, take a picture of the disguise in action, post the images on Pinterest, and send the sponsor the link to your board.

Applicant must be a full-time student at California State University Dominguez HIlls majoring in criminal justice, economics, labor studies, political science or public administration. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Anne Peters Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 17

Applicant must be a student at California State University Dominguez Hills majoring in labor studies or sociology.

 

Jamina O. Barnes Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a full-time graduate or undergraduate student at California State University Dominguez Hills. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Video Essay Scholarship Contest

Award: $500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant be a high school senior or full-time student currently enrolled in college or graduate school. A video essay on the effects of drinking and driving is required to be submitted. The Beliz Law Firm is looking to see how creatively the applicant can persuade others not to drink and drive. Video essay must use a technical or narrative style, including but not limited to documentary, fiction, live action, or animation.

 

Frances Deputy Abel Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student at Franklin College who demonstrates financial need.

 

Scott Alexander Journalism Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior or current undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Awarded to applicants who are actively engaged in learning about a specific topic or passion and who have a plan and need for the scholarship money to extend their learning.

 

Alan C. Greenberg Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

 

Rocket 55 Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 10

Applicant must be a high school senior or current college student. Applicant must create a video that explains their idea on how the sponsor, Rocket 55, got its name. Selection is based upon the most creative, attention-catching, and inventive ideas. The top five videos, chosen by the sponsor, will be posted to their Facebook site where fans will choose the recipient of the scholarship.

 

Senior Care Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a student enrolled in an associate, bachelor's, or graduate-level degree program in the fields of gerontology, long-term care administration, medicine, nursing, or sociology at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Letter of introduction and 500-word essay on selected topic required. Selection based upon the most compelling essay as judge by an outside panel of senior living professionals.

 

Working Parent College Scholarship Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 19

Applicant must be a full- or part-time student who is enrolled in an accredited U.S. post-secondary educational institution (including, but not limited to, college, university or trade school, or similarly accredited program) with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must have worked an average of at least 12 hours for each of the four previous weeks at the time of applying and be a residential parent of at least one minor child. A 600 to 1,000 word essay outlining three keys to successfully excel in school is required.
