G.A.R. Living Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must have a satisfactory scholastic standing, be of good moral character, have a firm belief in the United States form of government, and be the lineal descendant of a Civil War Union Veteran. Application, two letters of reference, transcript, and ancestor's military record are required to be submitted.

 

Summer Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 23

Applicant must be an undergraduate, graduate, or medical student. Each applicant must identify a mentor, with whom he or she will conduct the proposed project.

 

AACP-AFPE -Burroughs Wellcome Fund Pharmacy Faculty New Investigators Program Grant

Award: $12,500, Deadline: June 6

Applicant must have earned terminal degrees in his or her discipline, have a full-time primary academic faculty ACPE-accredited appointment in a school or college of pharmacy, hold the rank of assistant professor, and be in the first to fifth year of his or her academic appointment.

 

AAPS/AFPE Gateway Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at an accredited college of pharmacy or a baccalaureate degree program in a related field of scientific study at any college and have a demonstrated interest in, and potential for, a career in any of the pharmaceutical sciences.

 

Phi Lambda Sigma/Glaxo/AFPE First-Year Graduate Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be in the final year of a Pharmacy B.S. or Pharm.D. program, be a member of either Rho Chi or Phi Lamdba Sigma, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

 

Rho Chi/Schering-Plough/AFPE First-Year Graduate Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society and be a pharmacy student in the final year of professional studies or a professional pharmacy degree program graduate entering a pharmaceutical sciences (including social/administrative sciences) Ph.D. program in an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy as a full-time student. Pharmacy students who have initiated graduate work through a dual Pharm.D./Ph.D. degree pathway are eligible if they will be pursuing full-time graduate study in the year the award is made. Applicants who have completed professional pharmacy degree programs must enroll in a pharmacy college graduate program for the Ph.D. not later than 16 months after completion of the professional degree.

 

Kappa Epsilon/AFPE/Nellie Wakeman Fellowship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have completed one term of advanced studies in the pharmaceutical sciences, be a member in good financial standing of Kappa Epsilon, and be working toward a pharmacy M.S., a Ph.D., or a Pharm.D. (having previously earned a pharmacy B.S.). Financial need is considered.

 

Bibliographical Society of America Fellowship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 1

Award is for one or two months of research into the history of the book trade and publishing. Eligible topics may concentrate on books and documents in any field, but should focus on the book or manuscript (the physical object) as historical evidence. Such topics may include establishing a text or studying the history of book production, publication, distribution, collecting, or reading.

 

Logistics Education Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a logistics or logistics-related major.

 

TPA Scholarship Trust for the Deaf and Near-Deaf

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. resident who suffers from deafness or a hearing impairment and who will benefit from medical, mechanical, specialized treatment or specialized education.

 

Newhouse Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be enrolled full time and must submit transcript, resume, samples of best work, reference letters, essay, financial need statement, and parents' W-2 forms. Selection is based upon academic excellence, demonstrated interest in a journalism career, and financial need. Award is given for two years. Recipient receives funding to attend the NAHJ convention as well as an internship during the summer between junior and senior year.

 

AADR Student Research Fellowship

Award: $2,100, Deadline: January 18

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited D.D.S./D.M.D. or hygiene program at a health-associated dental institution within the U.S. and must be sponsored by a faculty member at that institution. Applicant must not have received the degree nor should it be awarded during the year of the fellowship.

 

Merit Scholarship

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year at a degree-granting institution with plans to continue at their program at that institution. Minimum 3.0 GPA and evidence of leadership by participating in community or campus activities required. Award is for applicants who are able to demonstrate exceptional academic achievements.

 

Financial Needs Scholarship

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year at a degree-granting institution and have a financial burden that is preventing them from continuing their studies. Minimum 2.5 GPA and evidence of leadership by participating in community or campus activities are required.

 

Fred Russell/Grantland Rice TRA Sports Writing Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 1

Applicant must demonstrate a special interest and potential in the field of sportswriting.

 

A & WMA Scholarship Endowment Trust Fund

Applicant must be a full-time graduate student who is pursuing courses of study and research leading to careers in air quality, waste management, environmental management/policy/law, and sustainability.

 

J. Frances Allen Scholarship

Presidential Scholarship

Applicant must have minimum ACT composite score of 24 or SAT combined score of 1100. Selection is based upon academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, and essay. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent residency status.

 

Dean's Scholarship

DeVry applicants with ACT composite scores of at least 24 or SAT combined scores of at least 1100 will automatically receive Dean's Scholarships. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent residency status.

 

Missouri Higher Education Academic Scholarship (Bright Flight)

National Peace Corps Association Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of the NPCA and have completed a at least one year of an inter-cultural experience. Financial need may be considered. Applicant must be enrolled in a degree program.

 

Houston International Fund
