Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist who has designated West Virginia University - Parkersburg as his or her first-choice institution when completing the scholarship application. AHIMA Foundation Merit Scholarships

Award: $2,500, Deadline: September 30

Applicants must be members of AHIMA, have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, have completed 24 credit hours in health information management (HIM) or health information technology (HIT), have at least six credit hours remaining in their course of study and be taking at least six hours per semester in pursuit of the degree. The degrees eligible are AA degrees, BA/BS degrees and those who are credentialed and pursing a master's degree. Scholarships are also available for HIM professionals pursuing graduate degrees in the health information field.

 

Johnson University Florida Incentive Scholarship Program

The Florida Incentive Scholarship Program is a merit scholarship for Florida high school graduates who receive recognition as a National Merit or National Achievement Scholars. Thomas H. Steel Fellowship Fund

Award: $30,000, Deadline: January 13

Applicants must be students in their last year of law school or lawyers within three years of graduating from law school. The award is based on the quality and scope of the project, proposal, public service activities and relation to the LGBT community. Applicants should submit applications, resumes, project descriptions, two reference letters, budget, timetable and law school transcript.

Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.75 and be at least sophomores. Students must also be undergraduates seeking a degree in engineering, computer science or any of the pure sciences. Preference is first given to Tekes at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
