Applicant must be a nontraditional student with a minimum 3.5 GPA who is enrolled at least half-time in the School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Education. One award is for an English major.

 

Chancellor's Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic achievement, school and community leadership, and service. Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT I score of 1350) and rank in top quarter of secondary school class.

 

Diversity Achievement Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a minority student who ranks in the top quarter of graduating class. Transfer student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Renewable Admission Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: March 14

Scholarships are allocated to all applicants at the time of admission. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with a minimum grade average of 82 who is enrolled in one of the direct-access faculties or the Faculty of Law (Droit Civil). Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Chancellor's Scholarship

Award: $6,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, with a minimum 92 admission average including six OACs or equivalent, and must meet extracurricular or community excellence criteria. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Merit Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 15

Selection is based upon GPA; the value varies from one faculty to another. Scholarship is awarded by the faculty at the time of re-enrollment in an undergraduate program. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

 

Scholarship for Winners of the Concours Provincial de Francais of the Alumni Association

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must attend an Ontario secondary school and compete in the "Concours provincial de francais," and be enrolled in one of the direct-access faculties.

 

Scholarship for Winners of the English High School Debating Society

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 14

Applicant must be a grand champion of the English High School Debating Society competition and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Award is in Canadian dollars.

 

Support Staff Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 14

Applicant must be a bilingual student who has demonstrated academic excellence and community and university involvement. Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

 

Professional Training Scholarship

Arcade Guindon Scholarship

Applicant must be Canadian or a permanent resident. Selection is based upon academic excellence, involvement in community and university life, and understanding of bilingualism and biculturalism.

Applicant must be a minority student and submit an essay, financial aid forms, color slides or black-and-white photographs of best work, and two letters of recommendation.

Cloisters Summer Internship for College Students

Award: $3,250, Deadline: Early February

Preference is given to first- and second-year students. Award includes intensive training in museum teaching techniques. Recipient will conduct gallery workshops for groups of New York City day campers in the Cloisters (a medieval European branch museum).

 

James Michael Haskell Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to the most outstanding students from Washington state who also demonstrate financial need. Separate application is not required.

Applicant must have pre-college test scores in the top ten percent, have at least 30 college credits, and be preparing for a career in public school teaching at the elementary or secondary school level.

U.S. Bank Minority Scholarship

Applicant must be a declared major in a College of Business and Economics program, have a permanent residence in a community served by U.S. Bank, and demonstrate strong academic merit and potential. Applicant must be an African-American, Native American, Hispanic-American, or Asian/Pacific Islander.
