Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University -- Worldwide Campus Bright Futures Scholarships

Award: $12,000, Deadline: August 31

The Bright Futures program consists of three different awards: Florida Academic Scholars (FAS), Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) and Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV). Applicants must demonstrate leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic strength and must plan to attend an accredited college or university. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required of applicants. Applicants must be nominated/sponsored by an employee, owner or company principal representing a BBB Accredited Business.

Selection is based on the originality and feasibility of the proposed work to be performed in a foreign country to promote UNESCO mandates. Applicants must be students in high school through the post-graduate level. Selection is based on the Bluetooth project and application or prototype submitted. Judges will consider whether the project utilizes Bluetooth technology, the application meets an end user need, the application and demo script are well written and organized and the user interface is intuitive.
