Applicant must be enrolled as a student majoring in nursing at Maui Community College. Minimum 3.0 GPA for undergraduate, 2.0 for A.S. and C.A. required. Preference given to students in the Associate of Science (A.S.) in Nursing or the Certificate of Achievement (C.A.) programs. Preference may be given to students of Hawaiian ancestry.

Applicant must be a dependent of a Hawaii public employee killed or injured in the line of duty (to the extend that they are incapacitated or incapable of continuing their profession) or a past or present public employee injured in the line of duty. The public employee must be in a position where lives are risked for the protection of others.

Will J. Henderson Scholarship Fund in Hawai'i

Applicant must be a child dependent of a current employee at Queen's Medical Center who is attending or plans to attend any academic or vocational institution in Hawaii and the U.S.A. that is accredited and approved by the Hawaii Community Foundation. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Americorps National Civilian Community Corps

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen between 18 and 24 years of age and living on one of four AmeriCorps campuses in Denver, Colorado; Sacramento, California; Perry Point, Maryland; or Vicksburg, Mississippi. Applicants must commit to 10 months of service. Awarded when term of service is completed.
