President's Leadership Awards

Applicant must demonstrate a strong academic record, sustained leadership credentials, and high motivation.

 

Art Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: January 1

Awarded to students with outstanding talents in one of the following areas: dance, music, studio art, or writing. Finalists are selected and must attend an audition/portfolio review day on campus in February. Majoring in dance, music, studio art, or writing, is not required, but recipient is expected to participate in at least one of those areas on campus.

 

Blackwell Medical Scholarship

Applicant must meet one of the following criteria: come from a rural background; come from an underrepresented minority background; or be the first generation in their family to attend college. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, a minimum combined SAT score of 1250 (composite ACT score of 28), and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in medicine.

 

Transfer Excellence Scholarships

Award: $19,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have earned at least 45 semester hours of transferable college credit and a cumulative transfer grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.

 

Transfer Achievement Scholarship

Award: $14,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must have earned at least 30 semester hours of transferable college credit, and have a cumulative transfer grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.

Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships

Applicant must be an incoming valedictorian or salutatorian.

 

Enrichment Scholarships

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student and be considered an underrepresented group at Elmhurst.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: October 20; January 26

Applicant must have a combined SAT Reasoning score of 1050 (composite ACT score of 23) and minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Trustee Scholarship

Award: $13,000, Deadline: October 20; January 26

Applicant must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000 (composite ACT score of 21) and minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Business Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: October 20; January 26

Applicant must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1050 (composite ACT score of 23) and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

United Church of Christ Scholarships

Applicant must be a member of a United Church of Christ congregation.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Trustee Scholarship

Applicant must have completed (or nearly completed) a two-year degree from a community or junior college and apply to the College by May 1. Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above for at least three semesters and interview are required.

Applicant must plan to major in music, music education, music business, or jazz studies. Selection is based upon academic credentials. Audition is required.

 

Archdiocesan/Trustees Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.8 GPA, combined SAT score of 1400 (composite ACT score of 31) and rank in the top tenth of class. Roman Catholic applicants are eligible for the Archdiocesan Scholarship; non-Catholic applicants are eligible for the Trustees Scholarship.

 

University Scholarship

Parish Award

Selection based on a strong personal profile, shown through leadership experience and extracurricular activities. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a parishioner of a Catholic church in the United States or Puerto Rico.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale and a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1990 (ACT equivalent of 30). Applicants must be accepted for admission prior to December 15.

 

Alumni Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be nominated by a graduate of Catholic University undergraduate, graduate or law school programs. Selection based on a strong personal profile, shown through leadership experience and extracurricular activities. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen applying for first-time, full-time undergraduate study at The Catholic University of America.

 

Family Grant

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must come from a family with two or more children concurrently registered as full time dependent students, pursuing their first undergraduate degree, the older sibling(s) is eligible for a grant.

 

Calvert Ellis Scholarship

Award: $17,000, Deadline: March 15

Selection based upon review of applicant's academic, extracurricular, and community achievements.

 

NDTA Scott /St. Louis Chapter Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school student who lives in Illinois or Missouri; college student applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited institution in a state within the NDTA's Central Region (CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, MT, ND, NE, SD, WI, WY). Award looks to promote careers in business, physical distribution, and transportation logistics.

 

Eagles Abroad Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: January 3

Applicant must demonstrate an interest in world languages and have at least three years of language in high school and a history of strong academic curriculum. Applicant must be committed to an international experience in France, Germany, Mexico, Spain, or Russia.

 

President's Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1100.
