Applicant must meet one of the following criteria: come from a rural background; come from an underrepresented minority background; or be the first generation in their family to attend college. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, a minimum combined SAT score of 1250 (composite ACT score of 28), and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in medicine.
Award includes a full-tuition scholarship for four years, a guaranteed seat in medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine, and a waiver of the requirement to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
Renewable if recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA, graduates with a minimum 3.5 GPA in science courses, and successfully completes the Geneva General Hospital internship program and any enrichment activities required by SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine.
