Applicant must be the child of a Navy Supply Corps Officer (including Warrant) or associated supply enlisted ratings on active duty, in reserve status, retired-with-pay, or deceased, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic ability, character, leadership, and financial need.

Carver Scholarship

Applicant must be currently enrolled as a sophomore at a participating four-year institution or one of Iowa's community colleges. Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and be a graduate of an Iowa high school or resident of Iowa for five consecutive years prior to application who has overcome some personal obstacle to have come this far in a college career (physical, financial, emotional, etc.). Financial need is required.

 

Teacher Education Loan

Award: $250, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident enrolled in a teacher education program at the Milwaukee Teacher Education Center and agree to teach in the Wisconsin school district operating under Chapter 119 of the Wisconsin state statutes, First Class City School System (currently only Milwaukee public schools).

 

Hawaii Veterans Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 5

Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii, be committed to serving Hawaii and its people. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student with demonstrated financial need. Selection is based upon: letter of recommendation from non-relative, personal statement of education and career goals, activities, volunteer experience and good citizenship.

Music Scholarship

Awards are given to music and selected non-music majors for band/orchestral instruments, keyboard, and voice performance. Selection is based upon competitive audition.

 

Honor Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1200. A 250-word, typed essay must be submitted with application.

 

Elderhostel K. Patricia Cross Doctoral Research Grant

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a doctoral student researching topics relevant to aging and later-life learning. Graduate students whose research focuses on topics relevant to Elderhostel or later-life learning are also encourage to apply.

 

Achievement Award

Award: $3,500, Deadline: December 1

Selection is by invitation upon admission. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 24 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090). High school leadership activities/leadership roles and community service must also be demonstrated.

 

Fanny Bullock Workman Fellowship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: Early January

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who plans further study. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

 

Honors Program Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, rank in the top tenth of graduating class, and have minimum combined SAT I score of 1270 (composite ACT score of 29). Selection is based upon personal and academic recommendations and essay.

 

University Scholarship

Award: $9,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have a composite ACT score between 27 and 29.

 

Baird Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and demonstrate academic excellence.

 

Music Scholarship

Applicant must have experience and ability in vocal and/or instrumental music.

 

Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Fund Grant

Award: $3,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must research North American fauna, except birds.

 

Township Officials of Illinois Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be graduating from an Illinois high school with a minimum grade average of "B," be able to demonstrate an active interest in school activities or in local government/community service, and must submit letter of recommendation, transcripts, and a 500-word original essay. Applicant must attend an Illinois four-year or junior college. Interview with a current township official is required.

 

Schwan's Food Service Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a member or the child of a member of the American School Food Service Association (ASFSA). Selection is based upon essay and two recommendations.

 

Patti Johnson Wilson Foundation Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, work part-time (at least 10 hours per week), and submit recommendations. Financial need is considered.

 

The Center for the Education of Women Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 23

Applicant must be a graduate, professional, or undergraduate-level student whose education has been interrupted. The interruption in education must be for at least 48 consecutive months, or a total of 50 months, not counting interruptions of less than eight months. Applicant must be pursuing a clear educational goal in any academic or professional program, full- or part-time at any campus of the University of Michigan. Past CEW Scholarship recipients are not eligible.

 

Dr. Margaret McWilliams Pre-Doctoral Fellowship

Award: $13,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is a woman. Applicant must have completed at least one full calendar year as a full-time student in doctoral-level studies and be a full-time student at the time of application. Study abroad students are also eligible to apply.

 

President's Scholarship

Award: $22,500, Deadline: January 18

Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA in core courses or a minimum 27 composite ACT score (minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1210). Decision based on academic criteria, letters of academic recommendation, leadership activities, academic essays, and an on-campus interview.

 

Philip and Alice Angell Eastern Star Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in business or education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need and minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA required.
