Legislative Lottery Scholarships

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors in New Mexico, enroll full-time at an eligible New Mexico public college or university and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA during the first college semester.

 

Lincoln University - Cal Grant

Award: $12,240, Deadline: March 2

Applicants must be California residents and U.S. citizens, permanent residents or eligible non-citizens. Applicants must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2 of each year. A certified grade point average (GPA) report must be filed with the California Student Aid Commission. Public high schools and public charter schools automatically submit all current senior year students' certified GPAs to the Commission, unless the parent or student has opted out. Additionally, some colleges automatically submit their students' certified GPAs. However, applicants should confirm with their school that GPAs are being filed automatically. Executive Women International Scholarship Program

Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to pursue four-year degrees at accredited colleges or universities. Selection is based on application materials, communication skills, academic record, extracurricular activities and leadership.

 

Loma Linda University - Cal Grant

Award: $12,240, Deadline: March 2

Applicants must be California residents and U.S. citizens, permanent residents or eligible non-citizens. Applicants must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 2 of each year. Applicants must have graduated from a Virginia high school with at least a 2.5 GPA, and they must be enrolled full-time in a two-year or four-year college in the state. Students must be classified as dependents. Preference will be given to students with the greatest financial need.

 

Virginia Commonwealth Award

Undergraduate applicants must be admitted to a Virginia public two- or four-year college or university, be enrolled at least half-time, be residents of Virginia, be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens and demonstrate financial need. Graduate applicants must be enrolled full-time in an eligible Virginia graduate degree program. The selection process varies by school.

Applicants must be Virginia residents and enrolled full-time as undergraduate, graduate or professional school students at an eligible private, non-profit Virginia postsecondary institution. Applicants who are enrolled in a religious or theological degree program are ineligible as are graduate students who are enrolled in a degree program that is not related to health care. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must have been born in the United States but have parents who were born outside the country. They must be high school seniors or between the ages of 18 and 22, and they must be Wyoming residents. They must attend a Wyoming community college or the University of Wyoming.

Applicants must be Michigan residents since July 1 of the previous calendar year and have received a qualifying score on the ACT and a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and be enrolled in an approved Michigan college or university. Applicants cannot be pursuing a degree in theology, divinity or religious education. This award is based on both financial need and academic merit.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are Minnesota residents. They must be high school graduates, GED recipients or at least 17 years old by the end of the academic year. They must be enrolled in a diploma, certificate or degree program for at least three credits at an eligible Minnesota school. Applicants who are in default of a federal or state SELF student loan are ineligible, as are those who owe the Office of Higher Education for the overpayment of a state grant. They cannot have earned a baccalaureate degree previously or be more than 30 days past due on child support payments. Selection is based on financial need.
