Microsoft Minority Technical Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of a group that is underrepresented in the software field, such as African-American, Hispanic, or Native American. Applicant must be a full-time student with a demonstrated interest in computer science and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Recipient must complete a salaried summer internship of at least 12 weeks at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Wash. Letter of recommendation, essay, resume, and transcripts required.

 

Community College Transfer Student Hope Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident enrolled in a two- or four-year program as a part-time degree-seeking undergraduate and must demonstrate financial need.

 

Legacy Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a full-time student and the child of a Luther Coll alum.

 

Hopi Supplemental Grant

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 31 (fall); November 30 (spring); April 30 (summer)

Applicant must be an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. Entering freshman applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA or a minimum GED score of 45%. Continuing student applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Financial need is considered.

 

Scholarship for Minority Accounting Majors

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a minority student who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and is enrolled full time. Selection is based upon academic achievement, leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to becoming a licensed CPA professional.

 

Peninsula Chapter James Shank Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a graduate of an Olympic Peninsula-area high school or a current resident of the Peninsula Chapter area including Belfair, Clallum, Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason counties, Wash., and must be attending a college or university in Washington State. Minimum 2.75 GPA required.

 

Kansas All-State Academic Team Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be recognized as a member of the state's All-State Academic Team. Minimum 3.75 GPA required.

 

Transfer Deans Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must have completed a minimum 45 quarter hours (30 semester hours) of college-level work in liberal arts areas with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

 

Ministry Matching Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and have their church donate money to them as a scholarship. College will match, in grant aid, on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to $2,500 per student, per academic year provided by Christian ministries with whom the applicant or applicant's parents are affiliated.

 

Music Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate superior music ability and be committed to The Master's Coll and the ministry focus of its music programs.

William Giacomo Firefighter

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who is an active firefighter or the spouse, child, or grandchild of a firefighter on a department that is a member in good standing of the Fayette County Firefighters Association. Applicant must have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Letter of recommendation, personal essay, transcripts, and IRS form 1040 required.

 

Leopold and Elizabeth Marmet Grant

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student studying natural resources, production/conservation of energy, or science. Minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Michael W. McDaniel Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a resident or graduate of Fayette County, WV. Minimum 2.5 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Paul & Grace Rhudy Grant

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who is able to demonstrate academic excellence. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

RFF Summer Internship

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student who displays strong writing skills and a desire to analyze complex environmental policy problems. Preference will be given to graduate students.

 

Fire Fighter Exemption

Applicant must be a Texas resident who is employed as a fire fighter in Texas. Award may be used at Texas public colleges and universities only. Applicant must be enrolled in courses offered as part of a fire science curriculum.

 

Hinson-Hazelwood College Access Loan

Applicant must be a Texas resident enrolled at least half time at a Texas college or university. Applicant must have cosigner with good credit standing.

 

Hinson-Hazelwood Health Education Loan

Applicant must be attending a Texas college or university. Selection is based upon financial need and credit. Applicant must be a permanent U.S. resident eligible to pay resident tuition at a Texas public college or university.

 

Orphans of Texas Members of the U.S. Armed Forces or National Guard Exemption

Applicant must be a Texas resident who is the child of a parent who has died as the result of an injury or illness related to service in the U.S. Armed Forces. Applicant must have exhausted all federal educational benefits for which he or she is eligible. Award may be used at Texas public colleges or universities only.

 

Toward Excellence, Access, & Success (TEXAS) Grant

Award: $2,640, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a Texas resident who has not been convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance, has financial need, has an EFC less than or equal to 4000, and registers for the Selective Service or is exempt from this requirement. Applicant must enroll in a non-profit public college or university in Texas within 16 months of graduation from a public or accredited private high school in Texas and have accumulated no more than 30 semester hours excluding those earned for dual or concurrent courses or awarded for credit by examination (AP, IB or CLEP). In order to apply, applicant must submit FAFSA.

 

Central Arizona DX Association Scholarship

Applicant must be an Arizona resident with a minimum 3.2 GPA and at least a technician class amateur radio license.

 

Mathematics and Science Scholarship Program for Alabama Teachers

Applicant must be a woman who is a resident of the Greater Los Angeles Area. Applicant must be entering or continuing a program to learn a marketable skill which will lead to economic self-sufficiency. Award is to pay for child care.

 

Sylvia & Samuel Schulman Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a single mother entering or continuing school in an accredited institution in order to learn a marketable skill, which will lead to economic independence.

 

Sophie Greenstadt Scholarship for Mid-Life Women
