IT Asset Management Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a current high school student who plans to enroll at or a college student currently enrolled at a college or university pursuing a degree in IT management in the United States. Essay answering the following question required: How do you hope to use your IT management education/background to make a positive impact in the business world?

 

Future Counselors of America Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in psychology who is seeking a career in relationship counseling or a related field. A 500- to 900-word essay required.

 

George Watt Prize

Award: $250, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student from the United States. Essay about any aspect of the Spanish Civil war, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the Americans who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938 is required.

 

Robert T. Kenney Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a high school senior, current college student, or non-traditional adult student who plans to attend or is currently attending an accredited community college, four-year college or university, or a technical/ vocational program in the United States. High school senior applicants must rank in the top third of their graduating class or have a minimum 2.5 GPA. College student applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. All applicants must be from any one of the 64 Connecticut towns served by the sponsor.

 

TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 19

Applicant must be a high school or current college student in the United States who enjoys spending time volunteering in their community.

 

Michael W. Morris Scholarship Fund

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a resident of Lawrence or Lowell, MA, who is a freshman, sophomore, or junior student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Benedict F. & Stella Galas Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a first-year student who graduated from a high school in Monson or Palmer, Massachusetts; or Pathfinder Regional Vocational High School, in Palmer, Massachusetts. Applicant must be majoring in engineering.

 

Cape Cod Alumni Club Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be graduating from a Cape Code high school with financial need. FAFSA required.

 

Charles E. Eshbach Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Award: $1,800, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student from Massachusetts in the Hospitality & Tourism Management department who is pursuing a career in food service management. Minimum 3.0 GPA and evidence of experience in the food service industry required.

 

David A. Booth Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman or transfer student from an urban area of Massachusetts who has an interest in political science. FAFSA required.

 

Devonia and Henry Thomas, III Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a freshman or sophomore student from Springfield, MA, who demonstrates financial need. Preference will be given to African American students, two freshman and two sophomore students with a preference for two males and two females. FAFSA required.

 

MassMutual Scholars Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student from a public high school in Springfield, MA. Applicant must have demonstrated performance or exceptional potential for collegiate success and have demonstrated volunteer service to their neighborhood or the City of Springfield. Automatic consideration when applicant is accepted to the University from a Springfield public high school.

 

Onward & Upwards Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who had been or is currently in the foster care system in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Financial need required.

 

Spirit of Community Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 8

Applicant must be a high school student who is a resident of the United States and has engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred at least partly during the 12 months prior to the date of application.

 

Commercial Video Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must be a current student with a minimum 2.5 GPA and have taken the SAT or ACT test (if high school senior). College applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university. An original commercial about insurance driving habits, good or bad must be submitted. Video must be shared on Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Googleplus, Blogger, Reddit, Tumblr, Pinterest, Linkedln, Stumbleupon, Digg and linked to http://www.cheapautoinsurance.org in the video and video description.

 

Pediatric Dentist of Tomorrow Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be enrolled at an accredited college or university with aspirations of a career in the dental field.

 

Four-Year National Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must choose to serve in the National Guard, Reserves, or Active Duty upon graduation. Recipient will owe a total of eight years as an Army Officer either four years Active Duty plus four years Individual Ready Reserve or six years in the National Guard or Reserves plus two years in the Individual Ready Reserves. Minimum 2.5 GPA and combined SAT score of 920 (composite ACT score of 19) required.
