Honor Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate who has completed at least 30 credit hours and is able to maintain a minimum 3.7 GPA.

 

University Scholars Award

Award: $25,000, Deadline: March 1 (Fall); November 1 (Spring)

Applicant must be an incoming full-time freshman at LIU Post with a strong academic record.

 

Transfer Excellence Award

Award: $15,000, Deadline: July 1 (Summer, Fall); November 1 (Spring)

Applicant must be a full-time transfer student with a minimum 3.4 GPA, have completed at least 12 credit hours before transferring.

Advanced Study Tuition Grant (ASTG)

Award: $9,000, Deadline: July 1 (Fall); November 1 (Spring)

Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA, have completed at least 32 credit hours before transferring, and be enrolled full time.

 

Martin Luther King Jr. Grant

Award: $3,700, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be economically disadvantaged and enrolled full time. Freshman applicant must have a minimum 85 grade average. Upperclass applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

 

Educational Achievement Award

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must fail to qualify for HEOP or Martin Luther King Jr. Grants, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

 

Trustee Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and minimum SAT I math and verbal scores of 650 (combined SAT I score of 1300, composite ACT score of 29) to be considered. Selection is based upon Academic Scholarship competition and interview.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.6 GPA and minimum SAT I math and verbal scores of 650 (combined SAT I score of 1300, composite ACT score of 29) to be considered. Selection is based upon Academic Scholarship competition and interview.

 

Leadership Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: February 1 (priority)

Applicant must have an excellent academic record and demonstrate exceptional leadership. Preference is given to those applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds.

 

Jesuit/Marymount High School Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: February 1 (priority)

Applicant must be an outstanding student and have graduated from a Jesuit or Marymount secondary school.

 

International Student Award

Award: $7,500, Deadline: April 1 (Priority)

Applicant must be an international student on a student visa, have a minimum TOEFL score of 550, and have an exceptional academic record.

Applicant must be an incoming first-year student with two of the following: rank in the top 10% of high school class, minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 24), and/or minimum 3.75 GPA. Essay may also be required.

Talent Scholarships

Applicant must be a participant throughout the year in one of the following programs: art, creative writing, music, theatre. Auditions and portfolios are required. It is not a requirement to be a major in any of those programs.

 

Baldwin Scholarship

Selection is based upon standardized test scores and cumulative GPA. Applicant must be enrolled full time in traditional degree program.

 

Bookcliff Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate strong academic and/or leadership background. Selection is based upon GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores. A minimum index of 100 is recommended.

 

Legacy Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time incoming freshman student with a parent or grandparent who is an alumnus of MSOE. Indication of alumni relation must be indicated on the admission application.

 

Centennial Scholarship

Guaranteed award for accepted students who fits into one of the two academic profiles: 1.) Have a minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1250 (composite ACT score of 28) with a minimum 2.75 GPA or 2.) Have a minimum SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 26) with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

 

Dean's Scholarship

Guaranteed award for accepted students who fits into one of the two academic profiles: 1.) Have a a SAT Reasoning score between 1050 and 1090 (composite ACT score between 22 and 23) with a minimum 2.75 GPA or 2.) Have a minimum SAT Reasoning score of 950 (composite ACT score of 21) with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Academic Merit Award

Applicant must be a first-time, full-time freshman and have achieved one or more of the following: minimum 3.5 GPA, rank in top fifth of secondary school class, minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT I score of 1140). Amount of award depends on number of criteria met.

 

Proficiency Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate talent in art, communications, music, or theatre arts. Audition (music and theatre arts) or portfolio (art and communications) required.

 

Minority Achievement Award

Award: $7,720, Deadline: March 14

Applicant must be African-American, American Indian, Asian-American, or Hispanic, a first-time, full-time student, and rank in top fifth of class. Selection is based upon essay competition and merit.

 

Leadership Award

Award: $1,600, Deadline: None

Applicant must meet one of the following criteria: be in top tenth of employer's formal training course with at least 40 contact hours, consistently perform above expected level and receive special recognition for performance, be the recipient of professional or military recognition award, or demonstrate exceptional perseverance and determination to excel despite social or economic disadvantages.
