Carson Scholars Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 13

Applicant must be a young student (fourth grade through sophomore year in high school) who has a strong humanitarian quality. Applicant must be nominated by their school and honored at one of nine regional awards ceremonies across the country.

 

Education Will Change the World Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 1

Appliant must be a high school or college student in the United States. A 500-word essay explaining what the applicant is studying (or plans to study) and how it will change the world is required. The best essay in each of the seven categories will receive the minimum award amount; grand prize winner will receive the maximum award amount.

 

Lesson Learned Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a college student in the United States. A 500-word response to the following question is required: What's the biggest life lesson you've learned during your college career so far?

 

Music Student Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a student in a school music program. A 250-word essay responding to the following prompt is required: 'Now more than ever, music education is important because...."

Distinguished Scholar

Chancellor Scholar

Applicant must be an entering freshman who is pursuing a degree in education. Minimum 3.0 GPA and ability to demonstrate high academic potential, strong leadership, and community involvement required.

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who is in the top 10% of their graduating class and has a minimum ACT score of 25. Leadership and community involvement must be demonstrated.

 

Mid-State Chapter of the Minnesota Society of CPA's Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who is majoring in accounting. Applicant must be from one of the following cities in Minnesota: Detroit lakes, Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Alexandria Brainerd, Theif River Falls, Hutchinson, or Litchfield.

Applicant must be at least one quarter American Indian who is able to present written documentation of tribal enrollment and blood quantum.
