Nathaniel Rocester Society (NRS) Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum cumulative 3.4 GPA and a minimum of 72 credit hours completed by the end of winter quarter (transfer students must have a minimum of 18 credit hours); a minimum of three full-time quarters (classes, not co-op) must be remaining after spring quarter. Leadership, community involvement and participation in on and off-campus activities will be strongly considered.

MathMoves U Middle School Scholarship and Grand Program

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal resident enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Applicant must create a multimedia or paper submission illustrating the importance of math in the hobby/sport/subject/activity the applicant cares about the most, specifically addressing "How does MATH put the action in your passion?" Selection will be based upon creativity, originality, time commitment, and the use of math equations to demonstrate why math is important to the applicant. Verification of submission by a math professional and application are required.

Undergraduate Admissions Transfer Scholarships

Undergraduate Admissions Freshman Scholarships

Applicant must be a freshman student entering the university for the first time with a minimum 3.5 recalculated GPA and either a combined SAT score of 1050 (critical reading and math only), score of 1550 (critical reading, math, and writing), or a minimum composite ACT score of 23.

 

Jewell L. Taylor National Undergraduate Scholarship

Excellence in Extension Grant

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 9

Applicant may be an individual or part of a group that fits into one of the following categories: must be employed by Cooperative Extension with family and consumer sciences program responsibilities, or be part of an AAFCS community, committee, commission, council, affiliate, or unit whose proposal is an Extension program that reflects best practices in curriculum development, delivery methods, and learning outcomes. Grant provides seed money for programs designed to enhance the well being of families, to support the work of the Association, and to expand the Cooperative Extension program initiatives.

 

Crum-Koehler National Graduate Fellowship

Applicant must be a graduate student pursuing a degree in family and consumer sciences. Preference will be given to students who have accomplished the following: at the beginning of the academic year for which the fellowship would be granted, have completed at least one year of professional family and consumer sciences experience, serving in a professional role or in positions such as graduate/undergraduate assistant, trainee, or intern; be working on a research problem or be able to describe a potential research problem for their graduate work; or, be interested in making a contribution to the family and consumer sciences profession in the United States, or in international programs.

 

Ellen H. Richards National Graduate Fellowship

Applicant must be a graduate student pursuing a degree in family and consumer sciences. Preference will be given to students who have accomplished the following: at the beginning of the academic year for which the fellowship would be granted, have completed at least one year of professional family and consumer sciences experience, serving in a professional role or in positions such as graduate/undergraduate assistant, trainee, or intern; be working on a research problem or be able to describe a potential research problem for their graduate work; or, be interested in making a contribution to the family and consumer sciences profession in the United States, or in international programs. Award looks to help support study and related experiences to prepare the recipient for administration and leadership roles.

AAFCS-Kittrell International Graduate Fellowship

Applicant must be a minority graduate student from the United States pursuing study in another nation or an international graduate student pursing a degree in family and consumer sciences in the United States, with preference for a student from a developing nation.

 

D. Elizabeth Williams International Graduate Fellowship

Applicant must be an international student who desires to study family and consumer sciences in the United States, preferably at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

 

Ethel L. Parker International Graduate Fellowship

Applicant must be a FCS graduate student from the United States who participates in international study or an international graduate student who studies family and consumer sciences in the U.S.

 

Helen Strow International Graduate Fellowship

Applicant must be an international student who is working to complete a graduate degree (applicants who live in countries that only offer two-year degree programs in family and consumer sciences can apply to complete a baccalaureate degree in the United States) in family and consumer sciences in the United States.

 

St. David's Neal Kocurek Scholarship

Applicant must be pursuing a career in a health care-related profession. Application form, essay, three official letters of recommendation, official scholastic transcript, first page of the Federal Income Tax Form, copy of Proof of United States Citizenship, and a recent photograph are required to be submitted.

Ceramic Grant
