Applicant must be a female graduate of Pioneer High School who has received a varsity letter in track and field and/or cross-country. Applicant must meet athletic eligibility requirements at the time of graduation and be attending an institution of higher education this coming fall.

Preference may be given to applicants who are Asian Indian, attend Portage Public Schools, or attend KAMSC (listed in order of preference) but this is not a requirement for application.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is a permanent resident of Kalamazoo County for a minimum of 12 months prior to application or a graduating high school senior who has been enrolled in a high school within Kalamazoo County for a minimum of 12 months prior to application. Appliacnt must plan to enroll full-time in a regionally accredited college or university in a course of study that leads to a bachelor's degree in business, science (including mathematics and engineering), law, education, psychology or medicine. Financial need is required.

Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 21 are required. Applicant must be able to demonstrate leadership including fitness and sportsmanship in the school and community while advocating a substance-free lifestyle.

Applicant must be a Kalamazoo County graduating high school senior or a high school senior attending a Kalamazoo County high school who has participated extensively in extra-curricular activities and has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. Applicant must be planning to enroll as a full-time student in a four-year college or university. Minimum 3.8 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1320 (composite ACT score of 30) required.

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Kalamazoo County or a graduate of a high school within Kalamazoo County and be a full-time incoming junior or senior college undergraduate student or be enrolling full-time in or currently enrolled full-time in a graduate degree program. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program or currently in a master's degree or professional degree program at Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, the University of Colorado, or the University of Wisconsin. Minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstration of participation in college and/or community activities as well as demonstration of work experience are required.

Minimum 2.75 GPA (3.0 GPA for graduate students) and financial need are required.

Applicant must be the family member (child, stepchild, grandchild, step-grandchild, or spouse) of a person employed as a certified law enforcement officer; certified firefighter; or licensed EMT medical first responder or paramedic within Kalamazoo County; or family member of a person retired from one of the above professions in Kalamazoo County. Minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstration of financial need are required. Kalamazoo County residence is not required.
