Applicant must be a respiratory therapist with at least a baccalaureate degree and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. Application; proof of acceptance into an advanced degree program of a fully-accredited school and proof of the applicant's candidacy for a degree; three letters of reference attesting to the candidate's character, academic ability, and professional commitment; and essay of at least 1,200 words describing how the award will assist the applicant in reaching the objective of a degree and the candidate's ultimate goals of leadership in health care, and letters of recommendation are required to be submitted. Award consists of a certificate of recognition, coach airfare, one night lodging, and registration for the AARC Congress.
Repeat awards may be considered by the ARCF Board of Trustees, provided minimum criteria are met; reapplication required.
