Applicant must be a Maryland resident and enroll for at least six credits per semester in a Maryland school in a program leading to a teaching certificate in an area of critical need.
Renewable up to one year if recipient maintains minimum annual 3.0 GPA.
Award must be repaid with interest if recipient does not serve as a teacher in a Maryland public school, teaching in the critical shortage area, for one year for each year of assistance received.
