Applicant must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in a U.S. or Canadian medical school and plan to specialize in psychiatry. Selection based upon demonstrated interest in psychiatry, academic ability, and financial need. The following materials must be submitted: applicant information form (available upon request), three letters supporting applicant's nomination (letter from Office of the Dean, letter from applicant outlining career goals in psychiatry, and letter of support from member of medical school's Department of Psychiatry), AMA Foundation Student Financial Statement completed by school's financial aid office, and medical school transcript.
