Applicants must be incoming freshmen with type 1 diabetes. Students must be seeking higher education at a four-year college or university, college, technical or trade school. Selection is based on academic achievement, extra-curricular involvement and active involvement within the diabetes community. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
