Applicant must be a NABJ student member who is currently attending an accredited four-year university or high school senior who will be a freshman in the fall. Applicant must be majoring in print journalism with a minimum 3.0 GPA, while also participating in the campus newspaper. Grant is awarded directly to the recipient's college or university; the recipient will be formally recognized on the NABJ website and in the convention program book.
Recipient is eligible for renewal for three years provided all of the award criteria continues to be met.
