Applicants must be Kentucky residents and be children, stepchildren, adopted children, spouses or unremarried widows/widowers of Kentucky veterans and must be age 26 or younger. The veteran must have died in active duty or as a result of a service-connected disability, have a service-connected 100 percent disability, have served during wartime and be totally disabled or have died for any reason.
