Applicant must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has been accepted into a post-secondary degree program. Applicant must be pursuing initial certification as a teacher, including speech pathology or child care provider qualifications.
Renewable if recipient maintains residence in Maine and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Recipient must teach in the state of Maine or repay the loan at a fixed 5% interest rate.
Awarded when sufficient funds are available and when qualified applicants apply.
