Applicant must major in an area of education and demonstrate high academic achievement. First priority is given to those from groups that have been historically underrepresented or underserved in the teaching profession and who demonstrate a commitment to teach in high-need urban schools.
Award amount varies and is meant to help with college costs above state and federal aid received.
Renewable if recipient remains committed to the C.U.R.E. Program and maintains satisfactory academic progress in a major leading to teacher certification.
