Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals or resident aliens intending to become U.S. citizens. They must be enrolled in an accredited HVACR technician training program and have plans to become entry-level commercial refrigeration technicians, residential air-conditioning and heating technicians or light commercial air-conditioning and heating technicians after graduation. Selection is based on stated career goals and commitment to pursuing entry-level work in the HVACR field.
