Applicant must be resident of Canada who is a graduate of a Canadian university with a minimum standard of "A-" (3.5 GPA or higher) and meet the citizenship requirements of the awarding country. Applicants looking to apply in specific fields must not only are advised to take certain tests, but will also have to provide specific work as well. Selection is based upon academic merit, plan of study, personal objective, and extra-curricular achievements/accomplishments. Online applications must be submitted in addition to supporting documents for each country to which the applicant is applying. The only Commonwealth countries offering awards are India, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
