Applicant must be a Texas resident, a graduate of a Texas high school, and a student enrolled full-time at an accredited Texas college or university with the intention of completing requirements toward a first bachelor's degree. Freshmen applicants must rank in the top 10% of their high school graduation class or have a minimum of 1100 SAT or 23 ACT score. College level students are reviewed on their grades earned through the fall semester each year. Renewable up to four years with a required minimum GPA of 3.0 overall. Co-signer is required.

Renewable up to four years if recipient maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Loan must be repaid at a minimum of $50 per month. Minimum payments will continue for six months following a student?s last full-time enrollment period. Balances will then be subject to a nine-year payment plan or a minimum of $50 per month, whichever is higher.
