Albert Shanker College Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be from New York City who comes from a low-income family.

 

ASHRAE Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1

Selection is based upon financial need, minimum 3.0 college GPA, faculty recommendations, leadership ability, and potential service to the HVAC and/or refrigeration profession. Applicant must be enrolled full time in an ABET-accredited program.

 

SEG Foundation Scholarship

Award: $14,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a high school student who plans to enter college next fall or be an undergraduate or graduate college student whose grades are above average. Applicant must intend to pursue a college curriculum directed towards a career in applied geophysics or a closely related field, such as geosciences, physics, geology, or earth and environmental sciences.

 

Oratorical Contest Scholarship

Award: $1,550, Deadline: December 21

Applicant must be a student under the age of 20, participate in local contests and must attend an Indiana high school. Speech must be on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution.

Applicant must be a student under age 20 and enrolled as a junior or senior in high school at the time of contest.

 

Oratorical Contest Scholarship of Tennessee

Award: $3,000, Deadline: January 10

Applicant must be under the age of 20 and be attending high school in Tennessee. An eight to 10 minute oration on some phase of the U.S. Constitution, emphasizing the attendant duties and obligations of a citizen to our government is required.

 

North Dakota Scholars Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a high school junior who is a resident of North Dakota and who plans to go to college at a North Dakota institution. Applicant must score in the upper fifth percentile of all North Dakota ACT Test takers.

 

Utility Workers Union of America Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be the child of an active member of the Utility Workers Union of America. Selection is made by the National Merit Scholarship Corp.

 

Alumni Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1 (Priority)

Applicant must rank in the top fifth (20%) of secondary school class and have a minimum 26 ACT score, must be recommended by his/her local alumni chapter.

 

NAAS Awards

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 2.0 GPA who plans to attend an accredited four-year institution. Home-schooled applicants may be accepted on an individual basis. Selection is based upon scholastic excellence and outstanding character. SAT Reasoning or ACT required. Send self-addressed stamped envelope (#10) with a $3.00 handling fee for application and information packet.

 

Isaac Bashevis Singer Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: November 1 (early decision/early action); January 15 (regular decision)

Applicant must be a full-time student who is able to demonstrate significant academic achievement above and beyond the average academic profile of a student admitted in the university's freshman class. Minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1350 (composite ACT score of 31) required in order to receive consideration.

 

Legacy Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of an Oakland University alumni. Applicant must be a high school senior who has been admitted and plans to attend the university their freshman year as a full-time student. Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum composite ACT score of 21 required.

 

Cecil C. Humphreys Merit Scholarship

Award: $9,700, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a National Merit/National Achievement finalist who has listed the University of Memphis as their first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

 

Cecil C. Humphreys Presidential Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1330 (composite ACT score of 30) and minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Dean's Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1130 (composite ACT score of 25) and minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

 

Valedictorian Scholarship

Award: $4,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a resident of one of the following counties: Desoto, Marshall, Tate, or Tunica, MS; or Crittenden, AR. Applicant must be the valedictorian of their secondary school class and meet the admission requirements of the school.

 

Advantage Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering college freshman who is a Tennessee resident with the following: minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1050 (composite ACT score of 23), minimum 3.0 GPA, and have a family adjusted gross incoming of $80,000 or less as indicated on the FAFSA. At least one of the following criteria required: be part of an underrepresented ethnic population, be a first generation college student as indicated on the FAFSA, or be a resident of one of the following rural West Tennessee counties: Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman,Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Tipton, or Weakly.

 

Sun Devil Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior enrolling for the fall semester as a full-time student. Applicant will be automatically considered for the award once they have been admitted to the university.

 

Merit and Chancellors Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman at Seton Hall University.

 

Jefferson Caffery Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 30 or be a National Merit semifinalist. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Summer Scholars Program in Biology & Biomedical Research

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who has the intent to major in humanities, biomedical engineering, natural sciences, or social sciences.

 

America's Junior Miss

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a high school senior, have never been married, and be a legal resident of the district or state she represents. Selection is based upon panel evaluation (30%), scholastic achievement (20%), creative and performing arts (20%), fitness (15%), and poise (15%).

 

Honors at Entrance Scholarship

Applicant must be a senior at an accredited Utah high school, public or private, who will be entering as a freshman.

 

Non-Resident Academic Partial Tuition Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior who will be an entering freshman and who is not a resident of Utah. Selection is based upon scholastic record.

 

Eagle Scout Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a registered, active member of a Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, or Venturing Crew chartered to an American Legion Post, Auxiliary Unit or Sons of The American Legion Squadron. Or, be a registered, active member of a duly chartered Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, or Venturing Crew, and the son or grandson of a Legionnaire or Auxiliary member. Applicant must have received the Eagle Scout, be an active member of his religious institution and must have received the appropriate Boy Scout religious emblem, have demonstrated practical citizenship in church, school, Scouting, and community, have reached his 15th birthday and be enrolled in a Tennessee High School at the time of selection.

 

Transportation Clubs International Scholarships

Applicant must be a graduation High School Senior and undergraduate students accepted to or currently enrolled at accredited institutions of higher learning in degree programs in the fields of Transportation logistics, supply chain management, traffic management, transportation safety and or related transportation industry operations and services.

 

National President's Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of a veteran who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in World War I, World War II, or the Korean, Vietnam, Panama, Granada, or Persian Gulf conflicts and have financial need. Selection is based upon character, Americanism, leadership, scholarship, and need.

 

Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen with a career interest in government service. Transcripts, letter of recommendation, essay, and standardized test scores are required to be submitted. Recipient will receive an all expenses paid weekend, including transportation and housing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to attend the Scholarship Awards Ceremony (which is required to attend in order to receive their scholarship).

 

Pony of the Americas Scholarship

Applicant must be an active participant in Pony of the Americas Club shows and activities.

 

Washington Scholars

Applicant must be a resident of Washington state who will be graduating from a Washington public or private high school in the current award year and who will enroll at an eligible in-state college or university following high school graduation.
